Greetings all those enthusiastic hand crafters out there!
Ok, my Tinna Thorvaldsdottir’s Fiesta blanket is finished! It has pride of place in my daughter’s new room – although she’ll only really use it when the temperatures start to drop in Autumn or Winter. I just loved crocheting this cheerful, floral blanket and must say that mosaic crochet has me hooked!
Lessons have started up again. One of my students has begun working on her own mosaic blanket. It is glorious seeing these blankets come to life depending on the colours and patterns the ladies choose to use. One of my embroidery students has begun working on a beautiful Jacobean embroidery runner.

To kick off 2021, I decided to learn to do shadow work, so I’ve begun embroidering a small tray cloth. It is challenging, yet wonderful to be mastering a new technique. My grandfather always said, “Anything is easy when you know how”. This is true of shadow work!
Be inspired. Start an new project. Contact me if I can help you to get started. Remember, you are never to old or two young to learn something new!
Yours in handcrafts, Lindsey
