Greetings fellow hand crafters
Christmas is almost here! The year is winding down and my classes are finishing off for the year. It has been a wonderful year but a break is always good for recharging one’s inner batteries.
Mary Koperer recently completed her Cat embroidery. It is part-embroidered, part- beaded, and it looks gorgeous.
Carol Jones’s cushion came back from being sewn up and it is beautiful.
Elfie De Necker finished her Hazel Blomkamp circular Jacobean design. It is breathtaking. Well done ladies. These and so many students have created the most exquisite masterpieces, I am just in awe!
My Drops Design jersey is complete and I intend wearing it on holiday for the first time. I am very pleased with this jersey. It was a rather tricky pattern, but I loved the challenge. Now I am working on two other projects. The one is a crocheted blanket for my cousin’s baby boy – a gingham pattern using three shades of baby wool. The other is the quilt based on William Morris’s designs that Colleen Goy at Roseworks has put together. I will be doing all twenty-five panels of the quilt Colleen has sent me.
Some news, I am giving lessons at Ribbonsfields in Bordeaux EVERY Thursday morning from January, so if Kyalami Estates are too far for you, please consider this option. Lessons at Kyalami are on Wednesday and Friday mornings and Tuesday afternoons every alternate week. I’d love you to join me so I can share my passion for crafts with you!
